Primary Responsibilities:
Operate Jefferson’s Ferry-owned buses
Safely transport residents to and from scheduled destinations
Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles
Load and unload small shopping bags or personal items
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
Ensure the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of all passengers
Optional: Additional hours may be available based on need and your availability

Qualifications:
Valid New York State CDL license with Passenger (P) endorsement
High School Diploma or GED is essential
Experience with large buses and a clean driving record
Experience operating wheelchair lift equipment is a plus
Friendly, punctual, and dependable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working with individuals of all ages, especially older adults
Familiarity with the local area (Port Jefferson, Setauket, Lake Grove, Smithtown)
Suffolk County residency preferred
