East End Disability Associates is seeking a knowledgeable and organized Staffing Support Coordinator for Self-Directed Services (SDS) to support staffing operations, compliance, and staff oversight within our Self-Direction program. This position plays a critical role in supporting Self-Direct Support Professionals (SDSPs), ensuring accurate documentation and EVV compliance, and maintaining effective communication with participants and their Circles of Support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in OPWDD services, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school in relevant Human Services field of study; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory and/or management experience in OPWDD Program Setting is strongly recommended. Experience in Self-Directed Services is preferred.
The Staffing Support Coordinator for SDS position is based out of the Self-Direction Office located in Rocky Point. The Staffing Support Coordinator for SDS position is such that the responsibilities will be performed in a dual work setting to include office days and remote work opportunity. This dual schedule will be created to meet all departmental and programming needs as well as support remote work options.
EEDA is the Fiscal Intermediary for individuals enrolled in Self-Directed Services. The self-direction model supports person centered individualized services in a Co-Management Model with the person supported and their Circle of Support (COS). Persons we support self-hire their staff and EEDA, as the employer of record, works cooperatively with the COS to onboard, train and support staffing as well as all services listed in the Self-Hired Budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide Staff Support and Training to the DSPS with the use of eVero Software to properly complete Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliant time and attendance records and Medicaid compliant service documentation.
2. Respond to employee requests for assistance in real time to reduce the need for edited time and attendance records and/or proper service documentation notes.
3) Act as primary supervisor to Self-Directed DSPs in supporting performance in completing the job duties as outlined in SDS procedures.
4. Assisting the Department Head in the completion and monitoring of employees’ background and driving records and complete safety assessments as needed.
5. Maintain communication with the FI Team to enable follow up with participants, families, support brokers and the Circle of Support in accordance with the Co-Management and Co-Employer of Record model in Self-Directed Services.
6. Provide feedback to the Department Head and FI Team to review the efficacy of procedures in place and offer ideas for improvement for this new position in Self-Directed Services
