Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or power tools to achieve smooth, even finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and fixtures.
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and color schemes based on color theory principles.
Perform construction estimating for painting projects by calculating surface areas and material needs to ensure efficient resource management.
Execute specialized painting techniques such as industrial painting, restoration projects, or renovation work involving drywall repair and remodeling.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for carpentry tasks like trim carpentry or frame carpentry related to finishing touches.
Install fixtures or hardware as part of remodeling or renovation projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste disposal and ensuring safety protocols are followed on construction sites.
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople such as masons or carpenters to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications

Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a strong understanding of construction site procedures.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools including airless paint sprayers, welding equipment (if applicable), and other maintenance tools.
Ability to perform plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, masonry work, concrete finishing, masonry repairs, and fixture installation as needed.
Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects across various surfaces.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
Construction site experience including safety compliance and working efficiently within team environments such as remodeling or maintenance projects.
