Job Training Resources

This page highlights specialized organizations dedicated to bridging the gap between talent and industry through targeted training, certifications, and career development initiatives. These strategic partnerships connect individuals with high-growth sectors—including renewable energy, manufacturing, and union construction—to ensure a sustainable path toward family-sustaining wages.

By providing access to technical academies and vocational resources, these institutes empower New Yorkers to overcome employment barriers and secure long-term professional success. Whether you are seeking a transition into green technology or a lifelong career in the trades, these workforce initiatives offer the specific skills and employer connections necessary to thrive in today’s economy.

The Long Island Regional Clean Energy Hub of Cornell Cooperative Extension Nassau County has developed a Long Island & NYC Technical Vocational Trainings Resource Directory to expand access to career pathways in the clean energy sector. This initiative is designed to support marginalized communities, drive local employment, and help individuals build valuable, transferable skills for long-term success. Interested individuals can explore job training opportunities within the directory, with detailed information on program location, type of training, and languages available to help them find options that best meet their needs.
